Style Story: Holding On To Summer

I can feel the nights getting a little cooler and can see them getting a little longer. And since I’m a summer baby I’m holding on for dear life! Although I’m a fan of winter fashion I’m not a fan of the cold. But I guess as Autumn creeps in I’ll embrace the threads that are coming my way. I find myself layering a lot at the moment and also pairing either something short on the bottom with something long on top, or vice versa.

This look is exactly that. The cutest playsuit with a longer sleeve for when the sun goes down. Stylist Bianca Koyabe matched this gorgeous outfit with a tongue-in-cheek sequined clutch and the a pop of colour in the form of these Royal Blue heels. Autumn fashion doesn’t have to be dreary. Play with colour! Don’t be afraid.

Another tip for a look like this, to transition it from day to night is: wear a little cami or tank top underneath if you’re worried about the low cut neckline being too risqu for day wear 😉

My phenomenal make-up artist, Morag Steyn, added a darker hue of the pinky red colour found in the playsuit which also offsets the light blue tones. An easy trick to go from day to night should you need to.
