Well… I must be honest in that it wasn’t exactly Autumn two weeks ago in Paris but Spring there is basically Autumn here! While filming for Top Billing we had some time to roam the streets of the Le Marais: a historic district in Paris known for it’s architectural importance. It is sprawled across the 3rd and 4th arrondissements.
And when in Paris… do as the Parisians do! In other words, dress fabulously and pretend to be a local. I paired my fave pair of dove grey Nine West pumps with a gorgeous wine red pencil skirt and off-shoulder top from Forever New. I’ve also included some info on Le Marais which is a district I’ve never visited in the city of lights and I must say, it’s worth a wander…

Le Marais is now one of Paris’ main localities for art galleries. Following its rehabilitation, the Marais has become a fashionable district, home to many trendy restaurants, fashion houses, and hip galleries.
Le Marais is the closest you will get to the feel of medieval Paris and has more pre-revolutionary buildings and streets left intact than any other area in Paris. A glance at some of the beautiful buildings and houses indicates the wealthy status of the former residents.
Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis is a church on rue Saint-Antoine. The present building was constructed from 1627 to 1641 by the Jesuit architects Étienne Martellange and François Derand, on the orders of Louis XIII of France. You can go inside and donate a Euro to the church in exchange for a candle. I lit one for my father in law who passed away in January. It’s definitely something I would encourage someone to do.
The Place des Vosges is considered by many to be the most beautifully built square in Paris. It was built byHenry IV and soon became one of the most exclusive areas to live. Napoleon himself considered it the jewel of Paris.
Le Marais became a centre of LGBT culture, beginning in the 1980s. As of 2015, 40% of the LGBT businesses in Paris are in Le Marais.
Plus Le Marais has some fantastic shopping 😉
Until next time, Au Revoir!
