How Do I Look? SA | Look Book Episode 1

I hope you enjoyed the premiere episode of How Do I Look? SA as much as I did! In case you missed it the show airs every Friday evening on E! Entertainment, DSTV channel 124, at 20:00.

Our first contestant was a super woman named Fisiwe who works in a male dominated industry where she felt the need to dress in a certain way in order to gain the respect of her male colleagues. Sound familiar ladies?

Fisiwe’s transformation was nothing short of spectacular and her power dressing reveal literally gave me goosebumps. Just BTW, I don’t see any of the contestants until they walk out onto our runway so my reaction is 100% authentic and I am gobsmacked each time just as much as you are! It’s an amazing moment.

We put so much TLC into all the looks I wore in each episode that I thought I just had to create a look book for each one. So many amazing styles were created by my stylists Jess Lupton and Schalk Myburgh and Makeup and Hair Guru, Morag Steyn. So here are the three looks from Episode 1!

Look 1

Shirt: Cloth & Label
Jeans: Freddy
Heels and Necklace: Aldo

Because of the crisp white shirt and clean lines of the styled look we decided to have some fun in the makeup department with a pop of pink lippy in the form of Candy Yum Yum from MAC.

Morag defined the look with a definitive brow (as she does!) and kept the eye makeup simple. A loose and curly ponytail added to the girly playfulness of the overall look. I love it!

Look 2

Shirt Dress: Juicy Couture

This is one of my FAVE hair and makeup looks from the entire season! The extreme half-up-half-down top knot was flawless and the orange lip complimented the purple in the dress perfectly. In case you love it the lippy is Smashbox‘s Always On Liquid Lipstick in Thrill Seeker.

Look 3

Dress: Foschini
Earrings: Aldo
Shoes: ASOS

This black dress was perfect for the bump and the flower applique detail accentuated it in all the right places! The style team opted for a chunkier sandal to balance the proportions but be warned: if you’re short like me this can sometimes cut you in the wrong place so make sure you play a little.

Hope you enjoyed the look book from Episode 1! All these looks can be shopped at our amazing sponsors, Sandton City & Nelson Mandela Square.
