6 Steps! I know what you’re thinking; “who has time for that?” but trust me they are quicker than you think. And after you follow these steps, according to your own skin type of course, the result is a perfectly, long lasting foundation.
Step 1: Moisturise
Obviously the first step after cleansing your face is a moisturiser that is specific to your skin type. With Summer in full flow I need a moisturiser that has a decent SPF as I suffer with bad pigmentation when exposed to the sun. The L’Oreal Revitalift Bright Reveal has many great benefits but the two main reasons I use it is for its broad spectrum SPF 30 and it’s combination of Glycolic Acid, Vitamin C, and Pro-Retinol helps correct uneven skin tone.

Step 2: Primer
I realise not everyone understands or even wants to understand the use of a primer but I am a huge advocate. There are currently so many on the market but again I needed one specific to certain issues. If I’m runningaround, which is more often than not most days, I need my foundation to last so I don’t look like a flaky hot mess come my last meeting. Step in the L’Oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer. Again with Summer being my main influence I do tend to sweat when I have a full face of make up on. By applying this primer the mattifying effect not only makes my skin feel like velvet(it seriously does) but it combats my sweat by giving a really matte effect.

Step 3: Conceal
I’ll admit I love me a bargain and thats why I LOVE the L’Oreal Infallible Foundation Stick. This product can be used to highlight, contour AND conceal. And I also admit that it has such great coverage I have even used it just as a foundation! How great is that! The colour I use is Vanilla 130. When I conceal I focus on the area under my eyes as well as any red areas on that specific day. I apply the stick and roughly blend with a small beauty blender (a concealer brush will also do).

Step 4: Foundation
L’Oreal have some great foundations out at the moment but I am currently using the Infallible 24H Liquid Foundation. I bet there is no guessing why either with its high coverage long-wear benefits. My shade is Vanilla 120. I apply with a fluffy foundation brush and then blend with a large beauty blender to give a final smooth look.
My friend Kandy Kane did an amazing review on her YouTube channel on these foundations, check it out:
Step 5: Powder
Powder, just like primer, is not always a step that is needed. Again these might depend on the day you have or the look you are going for. As I want my foundation to last longer and also combat any oil or sweat built up throughout the day I like to set my foundation. I’m currently using the L’Oreal Infallible 24H Powder Foundation. I use this powder to set my foundation but it can also be used wet as a foundation itself if you prefer. I use the 225 Beige. A good little trick is that if you intend to use powder eyeshadow then ensure to put a decent amount of powder on the eyes as your shadow will be easier to blend. If you are using a cream eyeshadow avoid putting powder on the lid all together.

Step 6: Setting Spray
The Infallible Fixing Mist is the first setting spray L’Oreal has launched. It really adds two seconds to your foundation regime and can make all the difference in making your look last longer. Be sure to shake this product well.
